Nobody has asked Nwanosike to bow down and worship Amaechi, far from it but to say Amaechi is a nobody is obviously a comment laced with self deceit and clear fear of the unknown. It exposes irresponsibility, vulgarity and absolute lack of home training.”

The ‘Progressives Grassroot Advocacy Initiative (PGAI) in Rivers State has cautioned the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike to always respect elders and desist from talking down on H. E Rt.Hon. Chibuike Amaechi CON,the former Governor of the state and Honorable Minister of Transportation.
In a release made available to the press by the coordinator Mr Henry Halliday on Monday, the PGAI said comments by the Ikwerre Council Chair against the Minister of Transport was a desperate attempt to malign and ridicule the former Governor who has contributed immensely to nation building.
The group’s position reads in parts,
“One would think you’ve seen the worse from an excuse of the bunch of “leaders” in the PDP in Rivers State but the worse is yet to come; from the comments attributed to Samuel Nwanosike, imposed errand boy of Governor Wike. A sorry thug.
It is laughable to hear “Ishi” as he is called throw jabs at the Minsiter of Transportation, H. E Rt.Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON, saying the Minister is a nobody. Can you believe it? we ask, who is Samuel Nwanosike? Who knows him beyond the local govt area he overseas not mentioning the fact that he was imposed on the people of his local government. We think when playing politics we should do so as learned persons. Nobody has asked Nwanosike to bow down and worship Amaechi, far from it but to say Amaechi is a nobody is obviously a comment laced with self deceit and clear fear of the unknown. It exposes irresponsibility, vulgarity and absolute lack of home training.”
The PGAI describes H.E Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as a vision -driven leader who commands respect from far and wide and wondered how the Ikwerre ethnicity and Rivers state at large would have had a name at the centre were it not for this illustrious son of theirs.
Hear them, “Who doesn’t know Chibuike Amaechi as a well respected leader of the APC in Nigeria and the world at large, a trailblazing Minister and a respected son of Ikwerre LGA? A visionary leader who commands respect both locally and internationally. If he is a nobody why is he in your mouth? Why are you shaking whenever he speaks?”
“Nwanosike also went further to say Amaechi zoned Rivers Governorship to the Riverine. If Amaechi made such comments, he was speaking to his party members and sharing his own opinions. If Nwanosike is triggered by that statement, it only goes to show that Nwanosike knows the APC would win the 2023 Governorship election in the state, thus he is already meddling in the APCs internal party affairs on who becomes their flag bearer. If Nwanosike wants someone from Burundi to be Governor of Rivers State, let him tell his leader and Governor to zone the ticket to them.”
“What goes on in APC is none of his business. Nwanosike isn’t half the man Chibuike Amaechi is, neither has he attained the level the Minister has. He is just an LGA Chairman and should focus on developing the LGA. Chibuike Amaechi is not in his league and with this his penchant for disrespecting elders, he may never reach it.”Nwanosike arranged thugs to beat up the former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Celestine Omehia and Hon Emerengwa in the home of the former Governor, so we are not shocked at his uncouth comments to the Honourable Minister.
When he goes low we go high so let him deal with that.
We advise the PDP LGA Chairman to protect the image of H. E Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi if he truly means well for the LGA. The honorable Minister for Transportation, has put Ikwerre LGA on the global map. People across borders know Ikwerre Local Government because of H.E Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. He can dislike the APC and play his politics but he should not go down the road of no reason and make a joke of himself. Asking who is Chibuike Amaechi? very ridiculous things small minded people say.
The PGAI, uses this opportunity to commend the performing Minister of Transportation, H.E Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his giant strides as evidenced in the transformation of the transport sector and its attendant economic gains and urges the hardworking statesman not to relent in his vision , passion and dedication towards providing infrastructure that would entrench Nigeria in the world map for consistent growth .
