All is not well in the Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP over who takes the party ticket at different levels ahead of 2023 general election. Many believed the trouble is as a result of the decision by Governor Nyesom Wike, the leader of the party in the state to anoint those he believes deserves to be favoured by him.
Latest is insinuation in some quarters and social media that the governor has indicated to return the member of Emohua State Assembly, Hon. Sam Ogeh in 2023 for a 3rd term.
A situation which is not going well with members of the PDP in Rivers State, as supporters of different chieftain has taken to the social media to express their displeasure and exchange words.
Supporters of the immediate past Emohua Council Chairman, Tom Aliezi have clashed with supporters of Sam Ogeh over ambitions and rumors of one not supporting the other.
Bernard Odike, a former councilor under the administration of Tom Aliezi accused the former chairman of vowing and resorting to using blackmail against Hon. Sam Ogeh, Member Representing Emohua LGA at the Rivers State House of Assembly.
According to Bernard, “part of Tom’s scheme is the commissioning of not less than 20 persons including members of the GDI who he has given some amounts of money to consistently bandy negative narratives ranging from poor performance, rejected by the people, etc, against Sam Ogeh especially in the social media and other media channels.”
But in a switched response, Francis Chinedu Okah, a domestic aide to Tom Aliezi denied the allegations and further took a swipe on Bernard Odike.
According to him, “Bernard Odike in what way did Sam Ogeh performed more than Tom Aliezi? Sam became Assembly member 2015 and could not tackle the insecurity problem in Emohua till 2018 when Tom became the Chairman.
“Till tomorrow Chief Tom can never be compared to Sam Ogeh in anyway. Sam is a bad market that is too difficult to sell no matter how you try to package him, we are all from Emohua and we know that Sam is a failure. It is only a greedy and wicked man like you that will support Sam 3rd term ambition.
“Elephant can never fly despite how hard he try. Sam Ogeh 3rd term ambition is dead on arrival. Take it to the bank Sam will never go back for 3rd term.
“A man who do not have one single project in Emohua for 8years want to go back for 3rd term.”
True Blue Reporters recalls that While Francis Okah is a die hard supporter of the emergence of one Joseph Awuse, Bernard Odike has his full backing for the return of Hon. Sam Ogeh who hails from same community with him.
