Ohanaeze Ndigbo Slams Joe Igbokwe, Says Chibuike Amaechi is More Igbo than you

by True Blue Reporters

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has cautioned Joe Igbokwe, a Lagos APC Chieftain over comment against Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on the issue of who is of Igbo and not.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo in a statement signed by the secretary, Okechukwu Isiguzoro stated that Amaechi is a registered member of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Rivers State Chapter since 2000, as much as bonafide member of the Ime Obi(the Apex decision making organ in Ohanaeze) considering his position as a former governor and minister from Ikwerre, Igbo speaking area of Rivers State since 2015.

Ohanaeze slammed Joe Igbokwe, saying Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is more Igbo than him and warned him against character assassination of Igbo Political Leaders, an action which will not be tolerated.

According to them, “Verbal diarrhoea and vituperative predisposition of Joe Igbokwe against Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is an act of timidity and cowardice.”

They stated, “Igbokwe’s unprovoked onslaught aimed at the Minister of Transportation should be investigated as it’s organized rogue operation of political musketeers, as it’s defamatory, calumnious and slanderous”

Finally, Ohanaeze stated their firm stand on the issue.

They said, “this is our verdict, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a bonafide Igbo man, and there is no reason why anyone would incite crisis just for cheap political goals. The issue raises on abandoned properties in Rivers State after Biafra war is a hoax and diversionary, as based on the facts before us there is no record of any Ikwerre man or woman that benefitted from the obnoxious policy and nobody should blackmail an Ikwerre with the abandoned property saga.”
