by True Blue Reporters

The Former Secretary to Government under Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and former lawmaker, Senator Magnus Abe Ngei have expressed bitterness over the happenings in Rivers State APC.

Speaking about the news making round social media on his resignation, Magnus on Tuesday with Newsmen, clarified that he doesn’t even know who his ward chairman is and if he takes the step of writing resignation letter.

He said he was not consulted nor carry along and that for long he has lost touch. Abe revealed that he has left River APC for a long time and doesn’t know things going on there.

When asked on what went wrong with his relationship with the former minister of transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Abe simply said the center holds no water anymore and he have to go elsewhere to seek his political future.

For him, people are leaving the party and he also have to leave, blaming the leader in the state while he absorbed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

There are speculations that Magnus Abe wishes to join the SDP ahead of 2023 to seek for his governorship ambition even though he has consistently dodge to state where he’s moving to and when he’s actually making the move.

True Blue Reporters recalls that Magnus Abe had boasted he won’t leave the APC he started as one of the founding fathers in various functions and had created factions in the party which many believe cost the party not to field candidate in the 2019 election following the emergence of Tony Patrick Cole as the APC Governorship flag bearer in Rivers State.

Magnus had also gone ahead to declare support for Golden Chioma as party chairman against the election of Emeka Beke by the Rivers State APC. Golden Chioma recently left the APC to join the SDP weeks ago, which many assumed to be a move to make way for Magnus Abe’s defection
